Whether you are an experienced musician or a beginner, new to bagpipes or drums, you are most welcome. We offer free tuition for new members and have some instruments available for loan.

About us
The St George-Sutherland Scottish Pipe Band was founded in 1946 and for more than 65 years has played for marches, dances, tattoos and general entertainment.

The band wears the MacGregor tartan.
Under Pipe Major Max Clark, the band meets each Wednesday evening at 7:30pm for practice at Cronulla High School. New members and learners are most welcome. Free tutoring is available for beginner pipers and drummers. Use the contact page if you are interested.
The band plays a range of tunes including traditional Scottish marches, strathspeys, reels and airs as well as modern tunes and Australian favourites.
Regular events include:
Brigadoon, Australia’s largest highland gathering at Bundanoon each April.
ANZAC day marches at Ramsgate and in the city where we lead the 9th RAR.
Surf carnivals, Relay for Life, Australia Day in the city, New Years Eve at South Sydney Juniors and others.
